BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Deposits

A non-refundable deposit of US$500 is required to reserve your place on the Experience. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to the start date of the Experience. If the remaining balance is not paid in full your place may be forfeited.

You may also pay in full at the time of booking.

Cancellations

No refunds will be issued for bookings cancelled within 60 days of the Experience. 

If the booking is cancelled more than 60 days prior to the Experience start date, you are entitled to a full refund minus the US$500 deposit.

We reserve the right to cancel the Experience due to unforeseen circumstances. If the Experience is cancelled by us, we will arrange for an alternative date, or a full refund if you are unable to attend the alternative date. In general, the Experience will not be cancelled due to the weather forecast. If the weather does limit our activities as scheduled, we will aim to make alterations to the schedule and switch the order of our activities so we can still do them all. Please note that the Experiences require a minimum of 8 people to proceed. If there are not enough participants one week beforehand, you will be given the option to keep your place on the next date, or a full refund will be issued.

We recommend you take out your own travel insurance to cover your trip, accident/medical needs, and personal equipment.

General

 The payment of a deposit or the full amount of the booking fee confirms you accept all of the terms and conditions following on this page.

You must be aged 18 years or over to attend a RAW Experience.

Booking and Payment

– All payments must be made in USD.

– A non-refundable deposit of US$500 is required at the time of booking.

– The balance payment is required at least 60 days prior to the experience start date.

– Your place on the Experience is fully guaranteed when the full payment is received.

– If we don’t receive the full payment at least 60 days prior to the Experience start date we reserve the right to cancel your booking.

– All payments must be made via Online Bank Transfer (which must include all bank transfer fees) or with Credit/Debit card (be aware of an additional 2.9% fee) on our web site www.raw-experience.com

Cancellation and Refund Policy

All cancellations must be made in writing to hellorawexperience@gmail.com

If you cancel and we manage to fill your spot, we will issue a full refund, minus the non-refundable US$500 deposit.  Otherwise, the following refunds will apply depending on the time of cancellation:

– Up to 60 days prior to the experience start date: full refund of any payments made, minus the non-refundable US$500 deposit.

– No refund will be issued within 60 days prior to the Experience start date.

We reserve the right to cancel any Experience at any time. Some reasons to cancel may include (but are not limited to): Weather, staff illness, too few participants, natural disasters, and other unforeseen reasons beyond our control.

Itinerary Changes

Where weather conditions, forces of nature, or other situations out of our control restrict our planned outdoor activities, we reserve the right to change the itinerary and/or substitute alternative activities.

We also reserve the right to change the itinerary if activity opportunities are better suited elsewhere for other non-weather-related reasons. 

Insurance

RAW Experience Ltd fees do not include insurance for your personal circumstances (including but not limited to travel, medical, and equipment).

We strongly recommend you obtain:

– Travel insurance to cover you in the event of a cancellation by either you or us, for Experience changes, or for medical emergencies, to cover you for your own personal health needs.

– Personal and third-party insurance to cover damage or loss of equipment and property.

RAW Experience Ltd does not accept liability, responsibility, or any expenses for insurance-related costs incurred by participants in preparation for or participation in its experiences and associated activities.

Health, Fitness & Behaviour

Prior to booking a RAW Experience, you must assess your own level of fitness and current health condition as outlined in the application document.

Participants must be able to walk for 4-8 hours on uneven ground and hilly/mountainous terrain, carry up to 10kg in a backpack, be confident riding a bike, and swim 100m comfortably.

At any time from booking to the end of the Experience you join, we must be kept updated with any medical or health issues that may affect the outcome of the Experience for yourself or others.

Any inappropriate behaviour or actions that disrupt the Experience or the rights of other participants will not be accepted or tolerated. Should this occur the offending participant may be released from the Experience with no refunds given.

Borrowed Equipment

If you borrow any outdoor equipment supplied by RAW Experience Ltd or its supporting partners during any part of the Experience, you are responsible and liable for paying up to and including the excess value for any damage, breakage, loss, or theft of that equipment

Waiver of Liability

RAW Experience Ltd will do its utmost to assess and minimize risks on all of its Experience activities in order to keep each participant as safe as possible. As we are unable to fully control all situations and circumstances in the environments we will be exploring, it is necessary for all participants to acknowledge and accept that there are risks and dangers involved before embarking on any of the RAW Experiences.

RAW Experience Ltd accepts no liability, responsibilities or expenses caused by these risks and dangers. Possible incidents may include but are not limited to; illness, accidental injury, death, strike, quarantine, loss or damage to equipment or property, and other expenses of any nature.

RAW Experience accepts no liability, responsibility or expenses surrounding or during any of its Experiences due to unforeseen delays or cancellations that could arise due to any of the following situations (but not limited to); airline scheduling, personal transfers or transportation, natural disasters, weather, theft, criminal activity, political disturbance.

Before embarking on any of the RAW Experiences each participant will be required to sign a waiver to accept and/or adhere to the following:

– There are unforseen risks involved in undertaking outdoor adventure activities that might be out of our control including and not limited to: access to and from locations, on-location, transportation

– Adapt to possible delays, changes of schedule, or any other inconveniences due to unforeseen circumstances.

– Each participant has taken the necessary insurance measures to cover medical needs, travel arrangements, personal items, and others to cover the duration of their trip, or they accepted the risks of going against the advice to be sufficiently insured.

– Each participant must be present for the RAW Experience Ltd health and safety brief presented at the beginning of each Experience.

– Each participant must have disclosed all pre-existing medical conditions upon booking and prior to the Experience start date. And if on tour, update us with any issues that have the potential to impact their own safety or that of other group members.

– Each participant must have the relevant fitness level required for the specific Experience they have booked or accept the associated potential risks/consequences.

– Each participant must at all times carry the equipment necessary for the specific Experience or activity they have booked.

– Each participant assumes all risks and will hold RAW Experience Ltd harmless from any and all liability, actions, causes of action, claims, debts, and demands which may arise in connection with the Experience.

 Promotion – Marketing 

During a RAW Experience, guides, lead photographers or owners may take photographic or video records in which you may appear.  Such material can be used for promotional purposes including but not limited to our website, social media, and other advertising channels. If you do not wish to appear in any promotional or marketing material please advise us at the time of booking.
